Outfit details (wearing size small shorts) HERE
We have all struggled at some point finding that healthy balance between health, wellness, family, work, etc. I know that sometimes for us it can get hard to navigate it all and some things get pushed, for us it use to be working out! Recently we have been asked “where do you find the motivation?”, “I hate running!”, “How can I get out of this rut?”. Listing a few ideas that have always helped us out!
- Find your reason! Why do you workout? It should only be for yourself, not for anyone else! For us, running became a way of getting away from our phones and everything going on and just focusing on ourselves.
- Learn to love it again! We all took some time off after college sports to truly learn to love it again.
- Focus on that feeling after! -the feeling after running or a good workout is like no other, refreshed, rejuvenated and accomplished! Remember that feeling every time you are dreading a workout.
- New Gear– buy new running sneakers, headphones, shorts, anything! This always helps us get motivated!
- Find the time! This is such an easy excuse we use to always use that we didn’t have the time. Even if it means waking up 30 minutes earlier try to find time that is there!
- Find your thing! Running? Spinning? Workout Classes? I think we have all tried different workout classes, programs and ultimately came back to running or the occasional sprinting workout being the thing we find the best results from and feel the best after!
