Just heading back from our NYC work trip today and wanted to share another wedding Wednesday update on where we are in wedding planning process!
Some Thoughts…
Ok so finding a photographer was definitely the next big item on our list now that we had our date and location set! So excited to share who we are working with for next summer!!
Some things I learned in this process- first off, this process can be stressful in the sense that you want to build a connection with someone that is going to capture your day exactly as you picture (and I’m soo excited about the photographer we will be using!) Something that did bother me throughout this process was one photographer I was looking to use only would give prices after we talked on the phone ( literally like a phone interview). Totally fine, I understand the whole phone interview, but I had already completed the budget section on the survey online before our call and after 20 minutes (& sharing personal things) she finally told me the prices. The prices were starting at double our budget!! I was so discouraged, I felt like I just shared personal things about each other like how we met and got engaged as well as our wedding day when it was someone completely out of our budget and honestly a stranger to us. Just beware of this process and understand that even though its difficult ultimately you will find the perfect person and your pictures will be great.
On a lighter note lol! I asked my college roomie to be one of my bridesmaids with this bridesmaid wine tote and Truro Vineyard wine of course! Grace and Anne will be my matron and maid of hono!

What we’re doing next
DJ vs BAND– So next we have to decide on either a DJ or Band! So my thoughts on this is that I would loveee to have a band, some of my favorite times have been at weddings with bands. But with that, there is a big price difference and I have been to some amazing weddings with DJ’s like both my siblings so although a lot of you wrote in for bands, I’m definitely not weighing out the option of having a dj!
Finding a dress & bridesmaids dresses! Grace & Anne will be here the middle of October to help me find a dress! So excited to share that we will be partnering with David’s Bridal for Bridesmaid dresses & taking over their instagram to show you all our try ons with them!
Save the Dates! So excited to share that we will be working with Minted for our save the dates and wedding invitations!
