I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for following along and reaching out about Joel and sending all the well wishes as he competed for the Stanley Cup for the Dallas Stars! It was such a crazy and exciting time in our lives (something that we don’t often talk about) so thank you all for reaching out! Means so much! For those of you who are new here my (Kate’s) Fiancรฉ Joel just returned from the NHL bubble in Edmonton where he was competing for the Stanley Cup! It was a dream come true watching his dreams come true, I mean he’s Canadian and has played since he was 2 years old!!! Anyone who knows anything about professional sports knows that it is a grind to get to where you want to be in your career, definitely something that isn’t handed to you overnight. We all watched (from home of course), cheering and yelling, but at times I’d flashed back to that college hockey player I remember watching since I was 19 years old and would immediately become filled with emotions! Happy tears as we all would say! It didn’t end the way we all (Dallas) had hoped, but in the end couldn’t be more proud of this guy!!
So excited that we will have the fall season together, that we both get to celebrate Anne & Matt’s wedding in less than two weeks as well as some other exciting news coming, while we wait on news for the 2021 hockey season!!
