So excited to share our bathroom makeover with you all! We did most of the work at the end of last summer, but since being back from Texas we finally got around to decorating! Joel and I bought our house back home 2 years ago as a fixer upper! It’s been so much (with a lot of help from our family) renovating it! Check out my blog here on what the kitchen use to look like.
If you are thinking of doing a home improvement and want to save money here are some tips.
- Start by doing the demo yourself
- Buy all the materials you will need yourself. Anne bought her tile and grout from Floor and Decor (huge supplier and specialty rates) and we found on near us that helped save us a lot!
- Get a few estimates! On tiling we got about three estimates for the shower and checked out the work they did!
What we needed help with:
- My brother helped save us a lot of $ by doing the floor tiling himself and putting in the vanity! Tip: make sure your new vanity is going to work with the plumbing, we had a hard time and had to move and cut to make this vanity work!
- Our shower- there was so much prep work to be done before tiling could begin. My brother Buddy did the prep work for us and got it all ready for the tilers
