When creating a baby registry, this is an item that should be on everyone’s list. I first learned of the owlet smart sock through my brother who has the sweetest 9 month old girl. Him and his wife swear by it. Naturally it was one of the first items I knew Mason would need.
Without it I would probably just stare at him all night. The smart sock, keeps me at ease because I know that his heart rate and oxygen levels are being tracked through pulse oximetry (most know this technology as ‘the little red light they clip on your finger’ at the doctors office), which is sent via bluetooth to a base station, then there via wifi to my smart phone.ย Knowing he is wearing the owlet allows me to sleep because it will notify me if Mason’s heart rate or oxygen fall outside the preset zones. I am able to place the smart sock on Mason’s foot and I can even add a sleeper over it and it will still be able to receive any notification at night.
Getting more sleep at night has allowed me to have more energy during the day to play with him and enjoy this time with him that can not be replaced. I can’t believe he is already five weeks! We took these pictures last weekend and he is already looking bigger! Time is flying and I am enjoying capturing every minute!
