Hi everyone! On the blog today we are recapping our recent trip to Disney World! We have received lots of questions about outfit planning, parks, Disney resorts, comfy shoes etc and wanted to share with you since we all are no strangers to Walt Disney World! So are lucky and blessed to have grown up going on family vacations every year to Disney World. A lot of time when we say Disney World people think of it just as the park, but it is SO much more than that ๐
Disney Resorts: Saratoga Springs
Hoped off the plane and onto the Magical Express (Disney resort transportation to & from airport) and headed off to Saratoga Springs! Since our parents have a time-share at Disney we normally stay at Saratoga Springs, The Boardwalk or The Beach Club! The Disney resorts are amazing because you get free bus shuttles to all the parks & Disney Springs! Set back in the 1920s race tracks of NY Saratoga Springs has multiple luxurious pools, an amazing spa/ gym facility & the cutest little eatery. We also love how close it is to Disney Springs!
Key: Prior to your trip you have to go online and get you “My Disney Experience” set up. This is how you can pick your magic bands (if staying resorts) and get them all linked with your room key, park passes & can even add a credit card so that whenever you go it’s easy to buy items!
Also, make sure you make reservations for dinners & park hoppers prior to the trip. You can make the up to 6 months ahead of time. *Chef Mickey is such a good character breakfast/dinner!
Parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios
Magic Kingdom: Starbucks on Main Street (starbs in the parks is SO good lol), Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Mine Train (New ride), It’s a Small World (classic & perfect for the babies)
Epcot: Give yourself plenty of time to walk around the countries aka World Showcase! Grande Marnier slush in France, Fish & chips in England, Werther’s & caramel corn in Germany, nachos in Mexico, Poutine in Canada & pizza in Italy are just a few favorites of ours.
Rides: Elsa & Anna Frozen Ever After, Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Soarin’ (fav!!)
Animal Kingdom: #1 Avatar Land!! Pandora is amazing! We waited 2 hours in line at the Flight of Passage ride (normal wait was 3 hours!), Na’vi River ride, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur ride, Kilimanjaro Safari
Hollywood Studios: We didnt make it there this time but listed our favs. Rockin’ Rollercoast, Toy Story Land (New!), Tower of Terror (classic I loved it, but I can’t do it again too scared lol) The Great Movie Ride, Sci Fi (grab lunch or dinner here SO cool you are at a drive in movie theater)
Disney Springs:
Favorite restaurants: D-Luxe Burgers (soo yummy & ice cream shakes too!), Earl of Sandwich, Blazed Fast-Fire’d Pizza
Run Disney: Princess Half Marathon weekend – Enchanted 10K
Running the 10K Disney princess run was such an amazing and truly magically experience. We ran the 10K and it was SO much fun! Running through Epcot there are people lined all around you, character picture spots & disney music blasting throughout Epcot…it doesn’t get any better!
