Had such a fun last weekend of summer, seriously the weather was amazing & being at the beach in September is pretty cool for living in Massachusetts! If your struggling like me to get back in the swing of things today, just remember today is Tuesday- aka shorter week!
Anyways, Kate here and I wanted to share a quick life update and some exciting news! Next stop on our crazy hockey journey is… TEXAS!! Joel and I are moving to Texas for this hockey season! Earlier in July Joel signed with the Dallas Stars. So exciting and happy for Joel- to see how hard he works and it all pay off is such an amazing feeling. Watching him play hockey for the past 6 years now (college included) has been so exciting and honestly never gets old! So excited to be able to explore a new place! One that neither of us has every lived before! We have both travel to TX and safe to say we are both thrilled to be skipping over the winter months of MA & Toronto ON (where Joel’s from) again!
If you have followed for a while now you might have been familiar with the whole moving process and saw that last year we were in Arizona! It was my first time living away from my family and being & living with Joel (we did long distance for 3 years while I was still finishing college & working). You all were so helpful in giving the best recommendations for AZ so any that you have for Texas (Dallas or Austin areas) I would love them!
Joel moves this week and I will be moving come October, so I have a few weeks! But we started packing up yesterday, hard to think the summer is over but can’t wait for the adventures ahead! We are sad to have to leave our home here in MA – Joel probably won’t be back until the end of season but I will fly back and forth a lot. It will definitely be a change but these years go by so fast so I am so lucky to be along for the journey. I will be sharing updates throughout my time in TX and struggles that come along with traveling, moving and living away from home as well as putting myself in uncomfortable situations aka putting yourself out there and meeting new people!
Thanks for listening & reading and be sure to share your favorite spots & recs!
