This past weekened my husband and Iย went to New Orleans, which is about a 3.5 hour drive from us. It was my first time, I had no idea what to expect, not going to lie I got a little nervous when we first got off the highway it seemed sort of run down. My husband was careful in picking a hotel because he had been before and wanted somewere safe. We stayed at theย Omni Royal Crescent -French Quarters. It was gorgeous and perfect for walking around the city. Definitely in a safe area, which is something to be aware of when booking. ย On Saturday my fitbit logged 9 miles and we were in bed at 8:30 lol!! I guess we missed out on Bourbon Street at night but thats fine with me being 30 weeks pregnant!!nI listed some things to do places to see along with some outfits of course! Sorry for all the dresses but they are so easy ! I kept texting my sisters because we need to go back! It would be a fun girls weekend for sure!
Some must sees
WWII Museum, Civil War Museum, Garden District, Mississipi River, they had a lot of boat cruises! ย Bourbon Street, Jackson Square
Oak Alley Plantation– about 40 min away but was a great stop on the way home
Where we ate
French Market for snacks. We tried a pecan beignet it was so good!
Oceana’sย – ok! We tried to go go Acme’s but the line was SOO long both nights
Pinkberry- Probably my favorite part of the trip because we don’t have one near us and when I lived in Boston I would go almost everyday!
Cafe Du Monde for beignets and coffee (beignets are like a donut pastry sort of…so good) – We tried to go in the afternoon but the line was way to long. The morning was better!
So many places cant go wrong!
Shopping
Of course we had time for some shopping!ย We hit up Canal Place. They had a great Anthropologie, Lululemon and Jcrew to name a few stores! We walked from there to the French Market which was kinda like a craft fair. Of course I found a turquoise ring.
