Gucci Marmont Review + why to invest in a designer bag

Today on the blog I wanted to do a little review of a big purchase Kate and I recently made! We each bought a Gucci Marmont matelassé mini bag. This has been something we thought about and researched for a while and finally decided to each get them. See some of our reasoning below:

DETAILS:

1. Obsessed with the size! It is perfect for the essentials; phone, card holder/ wallet, lipstick and a few other smaller items. Mini size: 7″W x 5″H x 2.5″D
2. Love the crossbody length, 24″ drop
3. Suede-like lining
4. Antique gold GG on the front with GG on the back in leather

WHY:

1. Investing in a designer bag in the long run will save you from buying those cheap/ inexpensive purses that wear out or the lookalikes that don’t last
2. You deserve it! Kate and I thought about sharing one and having “joint custody” like we do with our LV Damier Azur Croisette,but ended up each getting one. SO worth it!
3. Neutrals go with everything! I got the black and Kate got the beige. Dress it up or dress it down. Kate just wore it to a wedding and I wore it out for coffee
4. Quality over quantity. I feel like I got to a certain age where I didn’t need all these “going out” purses or cheap crossbody bags. We were ready to settle on a high quality bag that will go with everything and last longer.
5. For any of you out there thinking about a designer bag or this one in particular I hope this can help bring you some encouragement and help you to make your decision! I know we are SO happy with them and so happy we got them sooner rather than later. I’ve used it so much already, whether traveling, a night out, or a coffee run! 🙂
