Q: How did you all meet your husband/fiancรฉs?
A: Kate and I (Anne) met Matt and Joel at UMass our freshman year they were both juniors. We all went to college together. Joel played hockey and Matt lacrosse. It was so fun going through school together for those few years. Knowing the best spots, dining hall dates, watching each others games, and even taking a class together (Kate, Joel & I) were memories we will always cherish!
Grace and Zach met in Boston! Zach if from GA and was getting his Masters at MIT. He is in the Air Force. Grace is such a city girl and he is a country boy and it is so crazy how they met while he was in Boston!
Q: What’s going on with both of your weddings? Will they be postponed?
A: This was the #1 question we got and thank you all for asking. This is such a tough time for so many brides out there and we are feeling it too. We are taking it day by day. Kate’s wedding is June 28 and mine August 16. My wedding is still on for that date.
Kate: For now my date is still as planned for June 28th, however we are waiting on what the Canadian border is planning on. Joel is from Canada and if they decide to keep the border closed until July then they we will have to make a call to move it so that family and friends would be able to be there. His hockey season is still up in the air too so we are waiting to hear if they are planning on started the 2019-2020 season again or cancelling it. We actually just received our wedding invitations in and are planning on sending them out just waiting another week and last minute we figured we can contact our guests our wedding is about 150 people.
A: Kate and I also had to re-schedule our Austin Bachelorette party, as well as my bridal shower.
A: It’s ok to be mad and upset. Which feels like should be a time for planning and celebrating it’s being taken away. What we can do is lean on each other and all get through this together. Yes, we have so much to be thankful for and pray for the health of our family everyday, but this is a moment that has been dreamed about since we were little girls. All we can do is try and stay positive and focus on the things we can control. It helps knowing that there will be a time that comes where we will reschedule the fun events and have the biggest celebration ever!
Q: What are you doing during quarantine?
A: Kate and I (Anne) are so lucky to continue working everyday for MAHI GOLD, we’ve been with them for almost 4 years. Now more than ever is that best time to support small businesses. Also, I (Anne) just started painting the rooms in my house using this color! So excited to get rid of the beige which has been here since we moved in.
Kate and Joel just moved back into their house in MA. Since Joel’s season (he plays for the Dallas Stars organization (pro-hockey) is still up in the air they moved back in and have been busy unpacking!
Q: Lounge wear sets?
A:
Q: We had to postponed my wedding in May, but are still planning a small ceremony on our original date. I still want to feel like a bride do you have any recommendations for affordable gowns?
A: First off, we are thinking of you and feel for you having to go through all of this. Thank you so much for reaching out to us. Below are a few options:
Q: Is your white bodysuit see-thru & what do you wear underneath?
A: This one is not see-thru, but since that is pretty much sold out I found this identical one. If it’s a square neck I wear a nude strapless bra love this brand. If it’s a scoop neck cut this one is my favorite! This tank one from Nordstrom is on sale for $8! I had a light nude bra so to me it wasn’t too see through, but definitely wear a light color underneath. This is my exact bra & it’s on sale!
Q: What do you guys do for workouts?
A: We have a bunch of our home work outs on the ‘Home Fitness Highlight’ on instagram (@pinesandpalms3) Also, under the fitness tab on the blog.
Since we all played sports our whole lives (Grace played field hockey at UNH & Merrimack & Kate and I lacrosse at UMass-Amherst) we love running and mainly use light weights or body-weight for arms, abs and legs!
Q: Do you have any other siblings?
Yes we have a brother, Buddy! He is 2 years younger than Grace and 6 years old than Kate & Anne! He has always been our biggest supporter from being at every sports game growing up and even now taking our pictures and reading our blogs! He played in the NFL so taught us so much about hard work, work ethic as well as always being kind! He is married and has three beautiful girls!! They are going to be the cutest little flower girls!
Q: Differences & similarities between the three of us.
Some similarities between the three of us of course is that we love to shop, workout and we talk 24/7. We all grew up playing sports as a big part of our life and are all so close to each other and our family. Despite the 8 year age gap between us (Anne & Kate) and Grace we became so much closer the older we got. The differences would be that Grace is a mother to Mason and Jackson so will share more motherhood adventures, while Anne and I are just beginning that journey getting married this summer. We all have similar decorating styles, but different fashion styles. While it’s all similar I feel like Grace won’t be afraid to splurge on something she’s always wanted whereas I might think about it a little more and talk myself out of it!
Q: Favorite wallet for small crossbody?
Love this little one too!
