Family picts are always stressful some tips to help below.

Plan a time where the kids are most likely to cooperate. I honestly am no help with this one. Jackson (one and a half) is super hard.
Pick your outfit first and then plan everyone else around it.
Go with one bolder color and other neutrals.
Decide if you want this to be fancy or more casual and chose a spot or find a photographer who has a recommendation.
Wear extra makeup it shows up better in pictures. I love this under eye concealer and actually use it for any dark spots.
Some stores I love to shop for family photo outfits are JCREW, Janie and Jack for the kids, Nordstrom, Target has a great selection this year. I love finding dresses at Red Dress Boutique and Asos.
