We are so excited to finally share a complete review of our time in Disney World last week. As we mentioned, it was truly a dream come true to be invited back to Walt Disney World to tour the amazing resorts and all the perks of being a Disney Vacation Club member. We are so familiar with the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) and everything it has to offer because our parents have been members since 1994! We always talk about how our parents worked so hard every year to take us all (family of 6!) on vacation every year to Disney. Looking back we are all so grateful because these are the memories we hold on to and really shaped how close we all are with each other and our parents today. We all just went in February together only difference is we added a few more people ๐ It is so fun to all go to Disney as a big family and even better getting to see the reactions our the babies first time seeing Mickey!
Below is our recap from the amazing week in Disney with the Disney Vacation club we had!
Disney’s Brand New Riviera Resort
The three of had the privilege and honor to tour the newly designed, brand new Riviera Resort opening this fall! The newest addition to Disney will truly be a one of a kind experience! Even the Disney team was seeing it when we were too! It was nothing short of amazing with European inspiration, marble bathrooms (this was my favorite part, pictures below), murphy beds that are so innovative and take the hassle out of dealing with pullout couches as well as 40 original pieces of art work throughout the Riviera that are only created for the resort. It was so amazing to hear about all the connections Walt Disney had with Europe and to see first hand Disney creators bring this to life!
We cannot wait to go back and visit this amazing european-themed resort and even sit out on the new terrance restaurant that just so happens to be overlooking the water! That European coast vibe is real and alive even in Orlando!
Copper Creek Cabins @ Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
These cabins were unbelievably amazing. For starters you feel as though you are in Northwest part of the country in a rustic, but elegant cabin aka “glamping” in the woods. I love that even though it feels secluded you are still steps away from the main lobby. The cabin includes a wrap around porch with a outdoor fire place, mini pool and gorgeous ‘lake side’ view. Just around the riverbend from Magic Kingdom too!
Disney’s Treehouse Villas @ Saratoga Springs
This is truly every little girl and boys dream, the ultimate tree house! Nestled between the lake and golf course are around 60 tree houses (we were shocked when we heard there are 60 because the feel is super private). This villa is octagonal, 1,074 square feet of space stilted 10 feet off the ground and sleeping up to 9. Growing up we stay in one and it was seriously one of the coolest experiences because you look out the windows and think that your in the trees! This is such a perfect spot for a family gathering and even a girls weekend trip!
Grand Villa at Bay Lake Tower @ Disney’s Contemporary Resort
We were luckily enough to tour a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa at the Bay Lake Tower of the Contemporary resort and it was nothing short of amazing! We’ve been dying to visit a 3 bedroom, maybe its a DVC insider thing but a 3 bedroom is unreal and it’s not every day you get to see it! This modern 2 floor space has some of the best views in all of Disney World! Love how this resort is walking distance to Magic Kingdom, which means you can avoid the bus lines and long security. Also, we got to paint with a view at the top of the Contemporary! Check out our drawings below! This would be such a fun idea for a girls trip!
Disney’s Polynesian Bungalows
It has literally been a dream getting to tour these bungalows! These have always been our bucket list to stay in and lucky us, we got to tour them! Check out this swinging chairs on the overwater deck! Also, the deck is equipped with lounge chairs and a hot tub overlooking the lake (definitely the best place to watch fireworks). You truly feel like you are in a different world, an island oasis that couldn’t be more cozy if it tried. Sleeps up to 8!
DVC Member Nights @ the parks
Another amazing perk was visiting Hollywood Studios for a DVC member only night. This include free food & drinks, shorter wait times for rides, exclusive character meet-ups and my favorite free Mickey bars! ๐ Also, we had the privilege of a special DVC moment of signing part of the dry-wall that will go into the Riviera Resort.
Thank you Disney Vacation Club for sponsoring this dream trip!
