On the blog today we are sharing a little D.C. travel guide from this past weekend! I’m sure you know from insta-stories, but Kate and Joel visited me and Matt this weekend in VA! Matt and I recently bought a place about 30 minutes west of D.C. and love it so much! It was so nice having family in town this weekend and getting to fulfill some activities on our summer bucket-list! You’ll be seeing lots of these travel guides coming up from this area because there is so much to do ๐
1. Wineries in Northern Virginia; Aldie, VA – We went to a place called Quattro Goombas –red wine slushies & Sicilian pizza SO amazing! It was thunder & lightening so bad when we got there and luckily stumbled upon their brewery! They had live music, beer samplers (all made there), food & all the wine slushies you could think of! We loved this night.
2. Touring in D.C. – Started off the day at Bagel Cafe in Herendon, VA (AH amazing!) Then headed to D.C. touring will definitely take all day & even then you won’t get to it all! We didn’t spend the whole day touring, but picked some places we haven’t seen before to visit!
- The White House
- Smithsonian & National Museum of American History
- National Archives -Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights & The Constitution. SO breathtaking
- Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial
3. Washington Nationals baseball game –We headed into the city and got last minute tickets for $14! Then after went for drinks at the Wharf at a placed The Brighton. We had plans to go to 801 Bar for the HUGE Moscow mules, but last minute they changed!
