Happy Workout Wednesday! Sharing a workout circuit that is perfect to add into your home workout schedule. Working out, specifically running, has been keeping me sane. Having that freedom to go outside, get fresh air, and clear my head has been key in helping my anxiety. I’m sure many of you can relate! Matt and I (Anne) live in a townhouse outside of DC and although we started to get into a routine at home, space is something we do not have lol so workouts have definitely helped relieve some stress! Morning workouts have been our go-to lately. Nothing like a beautiful spring morning, trees blossoming and birds chirping to provide a sense of peace. Everyday things are changing! <3
Daily Workout:
I tried to switch it up for abs and arms. I took what I normally do and added a little twist to it! (videos on instagram)
- Run 2.5-3 miles outside – if you feel up to it end with 3-5 hill sprints (depending on the length of the hill)
- abs & arms:
- 30 toe touches (holding (2) 5lb weights) touch each toe with the opposite weight alternating 15 on each side
- 20 crunch/ suitcases (I just made this up the other day and felt a really good burn) Lay on your back – legs at 90 degree angle – holding weight do a sit up – back down – up again and into a suitcase (that’s 1)
- 15 leg raises – up and out (that’s 1)
- 15 push-ups with leg & arm raises in between
- REPEAT CIRCUIT 2-3X

10 songs on my playlist:
I’ve been loving the calming slow jams lately. I’ve never really been into fast pace, electric music for running! If you don’t have Spotify you need to get it!
- Kissing Other People – Acoustic Lennon Stella
- The Other Girl – Kelsea Ballerini & Halsey
- Young Once – Sam Hunt
- Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90’s – Sam Hunt (Kate got me hooked on this song!)
- Don’t Tell Me – Avril Lavigne (was obsessed with her senior year, love the Lullaby album)
- Keep Holding On – Avril Lavigne
- The Fear – Ben Howard (I first heard this song going into college & listening to it now, during this time, gives me a sense of calm. The lyrics are so good)
- To a T – Stripped – Ryan Hurd
- 10K Summer Nights – Eighty Ninety
- Hold Me Down – Yoke Lore (Such a fan of Yoke Lore! We saw him in a small concert in DC this fall. Kate and my best friend were in town too!)
