Thanks for stopping by. Sorry this update has taken forever! It is my third pregnancy if your new around here, and it seems like it is flying by!
Answering a couple questions below.
How do I know what else I need, this is my third too?
Honestly, trying to figure this out too! Ultimately I will probably get a lot of stuff I do not necessarily need just because I am having a girl now, after two boys. For basics, I will most likely grab new bottles, blankets zipper onsies and pacifiers. With Mason, my oldest we had way too many swings, toys ect. I found with Jackson we used less of that! I already donated so much including our mamaroo because neither of the boys really cared for it and it took up so much space! They liked this one much better! I am going to have to see where all our baby stuff is soon! We moved when Jackson was 5 months it was such a blur! I donate or get rid of any clothes that have wear and tear or stains as the boys go through, same with toys. We still have way too many trucks though LOL! I do want to try this halo bassinet since the baby will be in our room for a while.
How have you changed your workout routine?
Yes! 100% I hardly worked out until 14 weeks when I felt better to go on walks. I honestly just walk with the boys. Prior to pregnancy I would do HIIT workouts and run up 5 miles a couple times a week. Everyone is different. With both boys I think I ran til 25 weeks but then went to the hospital for preterm labor with both. As I get closer to third trimester I m super careful not to do too much!
A lot of questions about diet and nutrition.
First trimester was a struggle to eat anything! I would have soup or baked potatoes a lot. I generally eat pretty healthy anyways but have been trying to incorporate more iron into my diet. I m not a vegetarian I just do not eat meat much so I try to do a lot of spinach, eggs, quinoa. It is crazy because things I usually like, like ice cream, peanut butter, coffee and chocolate did not appeal to me at all up until recently, even so not as much! Its important to talk to your doctor to find out what your body needs. My doctor with the boys recommended red meat once a week, which honestly is a struggle for me. Anyways I typically have yogurt and special K in the morning, an english muffin with peanut butter or eggs for lunch an veggies and chicken for dinner. I have snacks all day also. I eat every few hours otherwise I still feel nauseous!
Maternity warm coats?
I honestly haven’t invested in any since its relatively warm most days in GA. I did find some cute ones . This dressier option under $30 , this one looks super warm, this one is my pick and under $40. Any style your looking for here.
Maternity Jeans?
I have been struggling with this one!! I will keep you all posted but so far These madewell ones are the same ones I wore all the time with Mason and Jackson have been my favorites
What I bought so far…
Honestly I try to size up for most items so I can wear after. I donated or just got rid of most of my previous maternity clothes so I did get some new maternity finds too. Just ordered this sports bra pack. Hoping this zipper helps to get them on. These $21 joggers from amazon are a must. I also love the target line Ingrid and Isabel and time and tru walmart line. I am eyeing these jeans I love the hem and the price point isn’t too bad! I wear these tees or tanks with cardigans or fleeces I already have. These leggings are worth it. Honestly I would just get the post partum ones and then wear them after. They are supportive but not super tight. Also grabbed more align leggings I did size up one!
Is this pregnancy (girl) different than the past two (boys)?
I think I felt sicker in the beginning this pregnancy but better second trimester. With the boys I seemed to feel miserable the entire time. I think I just don’t have time to think about it now chasing after both boys all day. Overall now it seems to be going too fast now that I am feeling better!
Do you have a name?
Yes! I have had a girl name since as long as I can remember. Boy names were super hard!
